ICCCI 2026 welcome reception will take place at the “360 Roof Top Bar” of the conference venue (Astoria Capsis Heraklion hotel). The event will start at around 19:15 and it will have an estimated duration of 1,5 hours.
It will be a networking event that includes a variety of finger food (like canapes, sandwiches, hot finger food, and desserts) together with a selection of wine, beer and soft drinks which will be served to the participants in an informal way.
Welcome reception is complimentary and free for all registered conference participants. Please be sure to have your name badge with you.
Tickets for accompanying and/or not registered persons can be purchased from the conference registration desk. Tickets for welcome reception cost 25 euros.

Excursion / Conference Dinner & Party, Thursday 24th of September 2026

22:00 Departure for Heraklion city
The first part of the event is dedicated to a visit to the archaeological site of Knossos, one of the most important and iconic archaeological sites in Greece. Closely associated with the Minoan civilization and the legendary King Minos, Knossos offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore the remains of a remarkable ancient palace complex and discover the history, mythology, and cultural heritage of one of Europe’s earliest advanced civilizations.
The excursion will begin at around 17:00 with boarding on the conference buses, which will take participants directly to the archaeological site. There, professional guides will lead a 60–90-minute guided tour, presenting the site’s most important monuments, findings, and fascinating history.
After the visit, we will board the buses once again and continue to “Ano Arhanes”, a picturesque village where the Conference Dinner & Party will take place. In a warm and festive atmosphere, participants will enjoy a traditional dinner featuring a rich selection of Greek and Cretan dishes, accompanied by a wide variety of drinks, including wine, beer, soft drinks, and, of course, authentic Cretan raki / tsikoudia.

The evening will be further enriched by a local music and dance group, who will not only entertain us with live singing and traditional dances, but will also invite participants to join in and experience the spirit of Cretan celebration firsthand.
The Excursion / Conference Dinner & Party is complimentary and free of charge for all participants holding a conference registration. Please make sure to have your name badge with you. Admission to the archaeological site of Knossos is also included.
Tickets for accompanying persons and non-registered guests may be purchased at the conference registration desk. The ticket price for the Excursion / Conference Dinner & Party is €50. Please note that this price does not include admission to the archaeological site of Knossos; accompanying persons and non-registered guests will need to purchase their Knossos entrance tickets separately.
