ICCCI 2021 is an international scientific conference for research in the field of Computational Collective Intelligence, to be held on 29 September – 1 October 2021 in Rhodes, Greece.

The aim of this conference is to provide an internationally respected forum for scientific research in the computer-based methods of collective intelligence and their applications. The scope of ICCCI 2021 includes all topics related with processing data and knowledge from autonomous sources, especially in: collective processing, knowledge integration, data integration, group decision making, multi-criteria decision making, consensus computing, and social networks.

The conference is hosted by the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece and jointly organized by Wrocław University of Science and Technology, Poland in cooperation with IEEE SMC Technical Committee on Computational Collective Intelligence, European Research Center for Information Systems (ERCIS), University of Piraeus, Greece, and International University-VNU-HCM, Vietnam.

The proceedings of ICCCI 2021 will be published by Springer in series Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence LNCS/LNAI.

The conference is organized in a Hybrid mode which allows for both on-site paper presentations and online presentations. The on-site part is the main mode of the hybrid conference. The online part is held for those participants who cannot travel to Rhodes or cannot get Greece visa.

    Other Requirements

All contributions should be original and not published elsewhere or intended to be published during the review period.

Papers are invited from prospective authors with interests on the indicated conference topics.

Contributions from more applied related fields in industry and commerce are very welcome.

All accepted papers must be presented by one of the authors who must register for the conference and pay the fee.

Only personally presented papers can be nominated for the Best Paper competition and considered for publication in an expanded form in special issues for prestigious journals.

    Avoiding Plagiarism and Self-Plagiarism

The authors are requested to avoid plagiarism and self-plagiarism in their works.

Your can find in the Internet numerous guidelines on ethical writing, such as a comprehensive guide prepared by Miguel Roig.

In turn, a two page extract from this guide you can find here.

Please note that the members the ICCCI International Program Committee are asked to give special attention to plagiarism and self-plagiarism while reviewing papers submitted to the conference.

Moreover, Springer routinely uses the iThenticate software (www.ithenticate.com) to detect irregularities in papers received for publication in the LNCS/LNAI Proceedings.

Call for Special Sessions & Workshops

The ICCCI 2021 invites proposals for Workshops & Special Sessions to be held during the conference.

They intend to provide researchers in focused areas the opportunity to present and discuss their work, as well as to offer a forum for interaction among a broader community of researchers. A Special Session or Workshop will consist of a group of papers in a sub-discipline of Intelligent Information and Database Systems related to the main topics of ICCCI 2021.

Please send the Workshops & Special Session proposals to Bogdan Trawinski (bogdan.trawinski@pwr.edu.pl) and Elias Pimenidis (elias.pimenidis@uwe.ac.uk) with the following information:

    • Title & acronym of the special session & workshop
    • Brief profiles of special session & workshop organizers
    • General description of the special session & workshop scope
    • List of topics
    • Proposed Session Program Committee (to be invited)

The papers will be required to meet the same standards as ICCCI 2021 papers and will be published in the conference proceedings, in a bound volume by Springer-Verlag in their Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence series.

All the Special Sessions and Doctoral Track will be centralized as tracks in the same conference submission and reviewing system as the regular papers.

The organizers will be responsible for the advertisement and promotion of the special session and the conference including the Special Session & Workshop webpage preparation.

The management of papers review will be achieved by Special Session & Workshop Committees, using the Conference System (a separate EasyChair track will be provided for each Special Session & Workshop).

The organizers are responsible for managing the review process. All the reviews should be submitted through the ICCCI conference system. Each paper should obtain at least two reviews.

The final decision as for the acceptance will be taken by the ICCCI 2021 Program Committee based on recommendations provided by Special Session & Workshop organizers.
