Objectives and topics
The goal of this special session is to bring together researchers and developers from industry and the academic world to report on the latest scientific and technical advances on formal and artificial intelligence in software engineering (service, component-service based, IoT services.) and to address intelligent adaptation and reconfiguration issues. Artificial intelligence (machine learning and deep learning, etc.), focuses on functional and non-functional aspects of AI-based systems, software and IoT quality (safety, involutivity, specific properties). Now, AI-based systems operate in highly dynamic context (cloud, fog), there are many challenges to ensure the quality of service in a very highly changeable environment.
From technology foundation perspective, formal verification of software architecture combined with machine and deep learning become most used techniques for verifying and evaluate service and IoT based systems. The FAITSIT 2022 Special Session at the 14th International Conference on Computational Collective Intelligence (ICCCI 2022) is devoted to the methods addressing verification, composition, and placement problems in the context of cloud and fog computing. By FAITSIT, we provide an opportunity for the community to exchange ideas and to present emerging new papers reporting substantive new work in various aspects of formal verification and AI-based techniques for service and IoT-based systems.
The scope of the FAITSIT 2022 includes, but is not limited to the following topics:
- Quality of service in the context of cloud and fog
- AI-based tools for Service and IoT
- Analysis techniques for AI-based systems
- Formal method application in the context of cloud and fog computing
- Machine and deep learning for software architecture
- Formal verification of service and component-based system approaches for dynamic composition
