The explosion of data to be analyzed (big data era) and the availability of high-performance computing means have contributed enormously to the development of data science techniques which are widely used in several fields of fundamental science research. The large volume of data and the automation of processes generated fertile ground for using Artificial Intelligence and, in particular, Machine Learning techniques. Implementing AI and ML in Healthcare has gained the scientific community's great attention over the last several years. Multiple models have been theoretically and empirically shown to provide significantly better performance than their single base models through medical diagnosis and forecasting.
This special session aims to identify and explore the current challenges in medical applications developed using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning methods. The goal is also to investigate the practical issues associated with deploying these models and their inherent limitations with problems in effectively explainable Artificial Intelligence. The session will also explore the practical deployment of such systems for healthcare and associated medical applications and new developments in the underlying technology.
The BDAIH 2022 Special Session at the 14th International Conference on Computational Collective Intelligence (ICCCI 2022) is devoted to models addressing any classification, prediction, and clustering tasks and their application to Healthcare either for Big Data or small data sets analysis. We want to offer an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to identify new promising research directions and publish recent advances in this area.
Finally, we aim to gather researchers in this field of research and allow them to share their ideas and conceptual approaches and discuss the recent advances in this field.
We invite researchers, developers, and all those working in this area to submit work under the following topics: The scope of the BDAIH 2022 includes, but is not limited to the following topics:
- Healthcare Analytics with improved Multimedia Data Analytics
- Social Media Analysis for Healthcare applications
